By air To the west of Qiandongnan Prefecture is the Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, 160 km from downtown Kaili City and linked by expressway. With tens of air routes to major cities in the country, the airport receives 5 million person-times annually and can handle large and medium passenger planes. To the north of Prefecture lies the Tongren Daxing Airport, designated as a tourism one and 100 kms from Cengong County. To the east of the prefecture is the Liping Airport that was completed in 2005, a major tourism designated airport, which can handle Boeing 737. To the southwest will be the tourism-designated Libo Airport, 80 km from Rongjiang County.
